Hello and welcome to Let's Go Touring!

My name is Helen Van Den Berg and many years of running my own
travel agency made me realise that whilst many people wished to travel overseas, most preferred the ease of going on escorted
tours rather than traveling on their own.
Overseas travel can be filled with many hassles and frustrations, where as going on an
escorted tour means you are able to relax and enjoy yourself, while someone else takes care of all the details and problems.
With this in mind, I started Let's Go Touring in 1989, specialising in taking fully escorted group tours all over the world. |
With over 30 years experience in the travel industry, I've been a tour guide for over 27 years and have traveled to more than
100 countries and all 7 continents! I've led over 7,000 people on adventures to such diverse places as Africa, Antarctica, Asia,
Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Fiji, India, the Mediterranean and Middle East, New Zealand, Russia, Scandinavia, Sri
Lanka, South America and the USA. From Cape Nordkinn (the Northern-most point in Europe) to Tierra del Fuego (the
Southern-most Point of South America), from Australia to Zimbabwe. Literally right around the globe!
Most (90%) of my
passengers travel with me regularly, many have been on 5 or more trips with me, some on even more than 10 trips!
I invite
you to join me and my past passengers on the personalised, special extended tours that I have put together, and to enjoy the
difference.
Here's what we have coming up:

Antarctica, the White Continent – a Voyage of Discovery
Imagine visiting a place you have only dared to dream about before the remote, pristine and majestic frozen
continent of Antarctica, This "Journey of a Lifetime' starts and ends in Buenos Aires, Argentina - known as the Paris of the
West and home of the fabulous Tango dance.
We cruise thru the Drake Passage, where the waters of the Atlantic, Pacific
and Great Southern Oceans meet to create the Antarctic Convergence. You'll enjoy interesting lectures on the history,
environment and wildlife of Antarctica by the onboard naturalists, as we set course for the Antarctic Peninsula and the South
Shetland Islands.
We will travel in the footsteps of the great explorers and see the landscape as they saw it - unchanged,
remote and awe inspiring. Weather, wind, and ice conditions will determine our programme and our schedule. Safety is always
the first priority and the final sailing itinerary will be decided by the ship's Captain during the voyage.
We will go ashore in
Zodiac boats, which are built just for this purpose. These inflatable outboard-powered boats are stable, safe and ideal for
cruising amongst icebergs and landing in otherwise inaccessible areas. Do not miss this Once-in-a-Lifetime trip!
July 2011-
Explore East Africa
For most of us, Africa is the last unexplored, dark and exotic continent, surrounded in mystery and
probably the most under-rated and most widely misunderstood destination. Africa is melting pot of cultures and traditions from
primitive tribes who have rarely seen white men, to the oldest European graciousness that is the legacy of the English, Dutch
and German colonists, and will be one of the most exciting continents you have ever visited.
If you want to experience a life
quite removed from any other, where the unusual is the everyday, then pack your tolerance, patience, understanding and a
hefty measure of good manners and head with me to Africa, because if there is travel in your blood, then Africa is the ultimate
destination!
This tour is timed to coincide with the annual migration of animals from the Serengeti Plains in Tanzania, across
the Mara River to the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya. You'll see Kenya's richest concentration of lion, zebra, buffalo, giraffe,
cheetah and we've included a visit to a Masai village and a traditional bush dinner. There is also the option of having a hot air
balloon ride over the Masai Mara Plains.
There are so many highlights that you'll have to come with me to experience Africa
for yourself!
