I have travelled with Helen Van Den Berg on her tours 14 times over the last 12 years, sometimes twice a year. She’s a delight to travel with and has perfected every detail in planning her trips for the comfort and expertise of her clients. Her ability to make all details so easy and without any problems occurring for her travellers. I can highly recommend her tours and her as a thoroughly capable and pleasant tour operator to travel with. Nothing is too much trouble with her outgoing and wonderful pleasant disposition., I’ve always enjoyed the tours I’ve done with her and am planning on going along on more!!!! I celebrated my 80th birthday on a tour to Canada with Helen and I am cruising around South America with her in my 83rd year—trip number 15!

We cannot begin to tell you what a superb travel agent and guide Helen Van Den Berg is.  We first traveled with her in Australia and was in awe of her knowledge, efficiency and ability to handle all guests and problems.  She is extremely efficient and everything is done in great detail, including literature she sends, some of it written by her. Helen was not our originally designated guide, but we were so delighted with her that we requested her to be our guide for our China trip. We were so impressed by Helen that we traveled on our 3rd trip with her to Antarctica.  Again, we were in awe of her.  Our entire trip had to be changed the moment she arrived in Argentina.  (This included many plane flights, hotels and a cruise ship)  After a long plane trip, she still had a smile and energy and forcefulness to revamp everything (many people were not as fortunate as we and had to return home). She is by far, the best travel agent and guide we have ever had and comes with our highest recommendation.

I have travelled many times with Helen and her tours are always well organised, varied and interesting. If problems arise they are rectified immediately if not sooner! Helen has a friendly, caring and outgoing personality, with a great sense of humour. I recently travelled with Helen to Europe for 5 weeks and we were given an Information Folder - which was the envy of other people who were not part of our group. Nothing was left out, she gave us information on everything from what the weather was going to be like, to details of the countries visited, from currencies used to what to pack. Some people on the cruise were so impressed that they asked to borrow it and read it! I have friends going on a similar cruise in a couple of months and they are taking my folder with them as they have not been given such a comprehensive lot of information from their travel agent. I have great pleasure in recommending Helen as an exceptional Tour Guide, Travel Agent and Friend! Even after all the tours I have done with her, I will certainly be travelling with her again and have booked South America for 2010! What is on for 2011? I'll be there! Love,

I have had the privilege of travelling overseas on tours arranged and conducted by Helen Van Den Berg on many occasions since 1986. These tours were all most enjoyable and successful, due to Helen's knowledge and experience as a travel guide. Helen is very competent, particularly in calmly and efficiently solving those problems that can and do often arise when travelling overseas. I’ve celebrated numerous birthdays on my trips and Helen always makes sure we celebrate – my 80th birthday was in Sri Lanka! It is always a pleasure to travel with Helen and I can highly recommend her as a tour guide. SHE IS THE VERY BEST!!!

We met Helen on our tour to Australia and subsequently traveled to Kenya and Tanzania with her and it was a most memorable tour from the obvious highlights – the animals – the whole experience was fabulous. Helen had everything arranged beforehand, the local guides and drivers were very professional and knowledgeable, the lodging was good all over, and the tempo and itinerary was well planned. It is easy to see why people travel with Helen again and again, she is efficient and professional and at the same time very friendly and funny! We would love to go on another tour with her, and we would recommend her to anyone!

When you travel with Helen Van Den Berg you have so very much more than a Tour Guide – you have a truly caring travel companion whose goal is to ensure you have the very best travel experience. RoseAnn and I, along with our son and his wife and their two teenage sons, took a 3-week tour with Helen to Australia and New Zealand. We were somewhat apprehensive about traveling so far away and at considerable expense, but when Helen met us at the Melbourne airport all our concerns vanished. The overall experience was an absolute delight! The attention to every detail, thorough knowledge of the tour history and cultures, advance planning and coordination, and the personal touch that Helen gives each traveller, will certainly leave you exhilarated as well. As any traveler knows, next to a good bus driver, a tour guide can make or break your trip. Some days you just get lucky. We weren’t too sure when after a long flight we arrived in New Zealand to be met by a VERY chipper blonde in a bright green coat. One look at our bedraggled faces, and she immediately took us to the nearest Starbucks. This was the essence of Helen. She intuitively knew what we needed. Adjectives like attentive (if you weren’t sitting down on the bus), knowledgeable (especially about shopping), flexible (with unscheduled tours and stops), caring (when people got sick), generous (with time and attention), counsellor (when required), organized (tickets and paperwork), and she did it all with a wonderful sense of humor. She became a good friend. We even requested her on our following trip. She has our vote for best travel guide, and we’re booked to join her again on a trip to South America in March 2010!

What can we say? You are the best. A fun loving person that always tries to make our trips away the very best we can have, Every trip is different and because travel is unpredictable, you have been the one that has got us through thick and thin, no matter what.
